Answer:It certainly can. You will simply need to locate the wooden studs in the wall behind the siding, in order to anchor the awning properly. It may also be necessary to shim the mounting brackets, depending on the angle of the siding slats.

Answer:Actually, no. These retractable awnings allow for projection to cease at any point between 1" and 84" to 122"(the 8' and 10' wide units only offer projections out to 84" and 96" respectively).
