Will these Coolaroo Coolhaven 18 foot triangle shade sails allow rainfall to fall through the shade to avoid puddling in the center of the shade?
By Emily - eCanopy Product Specialist on August 10, 2015
Answer:Thank you for your inquiry. The Coolaroo fabric is all permeable and are a knitted fabric to allow air and light to come through which also includes water so the water will not pool.

Answer:They will let the rain fall through. It does however make them a little bit heavier so they sag a little bit. Not by much though. We just finished a good rain shower. I have intense Sun so the shade tarp works really well. But enough water still runs through to water the plants. I have had one sunshade for 4 years and now I just got this one. I love them have not had any problems. I do however take them down in the winter time.
By Sabrina from San Marcos, CA on August 10, 2015
Answer:We don't get much rain in California. We do have ours hanging at a bit of an angle so it should run off if it does. We did have some rain and stayed relatively dry standing under them. Sorry for the vague answer but we do love them!
By Michele from Minnesota on August 11, 2015
Answer:Yes the rain goes through them. They have been great so far.

By April L. - eCanopy Product Specialist on March 21, 2016
Answer:It is 18 feet on each side.
By Jerilyn from Lake Hartwell Georgia on March 21, 2016
Answer:18' how you control where you put it is two ends have turnbuckles and the other has just a buckle where you can put a cable on to alter where you put it. I love mine so much that after 4-5 years (still looks like new BTW) I bought another to cross over the original in a different shape just for additional shade. One was well into 4 5 years old and I could not tell a difference. It is important though to make sure it is Coolaroo fabric. As a side note; I have the same product for a dog cot that stays outside and that too is several years old with no ware. I live in Georgia where the summers are very hot. Well worth the price. May get one more but now I want a red one....lol Take care and enjoy!

Are there any cables running the perimeter of the sale for stability and wind resistance? Once put up, will they withstand decent wind gusts?
By Justin R. - eCanopy Product Specialist on March 21, 2016
Answer:There are no cables which span the length of this sail, though the edges are reinforced. This item can withstand wind gusts without tearing, but you will need to sufficiently anchor it, as well.
