What is a 'splash cloth'? Is this tent equipped with a floor covering?
    By Dawn H. on February 23, 2012

    Answer:
The splash cloth is an approximately 4" piece of fabric around the inside perimeter of the floor to help keep the inside of the tent dry. The tent does not come with a floor. You would need put down a tarp or other ground cover.

Does it come with sidewalls or can your purchase them as an accessory? Thought I saw an Eureka Hexagon but it had sidewalls you can roll up or down.
    By Dawn H. on April 27, 2012

    Answer:
We do not have sidewalls for that item. You may be interested in the Eureka Northern Breeze Shelter. It is also a screen house and it does have walls. You can view it at the following link:

Nice roomy screen house. But the zippers failed despite frequent lubes. Needs number 10 zippers to be perfect.
    Pros:
    Nice and breezy, bug free.
    Cons:
    Bad zippers

Very Pleased with This Screen House

Here?s my report after using this screen house for one season: Bottom line, I?m very pleased with it. In the summer I would relax in it in the evenings, and it seemed very durable. It did a good job of keeping me comfortable by keeping annoying flying insects out. The only small concern I have is that I do see some rust starting on the poles. I?ll keep my eye on that for next summer. This screen house seems well constructed and sturdy. I like it, and I think you will too.

This was easy to put up?I?m over 50, female, and I did it all by myself. It only took me a half hour or so to do, and now that it?s up I love relaxing inside, watching lightning bugs and avoiding mosquitos. I?ve had it for several years now, and it will last great for you if you take proper care of it (storing it correctly during the winter, etc.). I also like the fact that because it?s open on the bottom (no tarp on the ground), it doesn?t kill the grass.

    Better Than Our Old One

This screen house is much easier to put together and take apart than the previous one we had (made by another manufacturer). Actually, it?s better in every way than the one we had before, which collapsed during the first heavy rain of the year. My only complaint about this one is that I wish I had ordered one that was a little larger so we?d have more room for eating inside of it.

I?ve only had this product for about a month, but it?s working just fine for our needs. It?s roomy and keeps out those flying pests. We had to add some additional twine to steady it when the wind really got to blowing, but other than that it?s been great. We use it to house our picnic table, and we?ve enjoyed a number of nice family meals inside.

    Nice but Not Waterproof

I haven?t had this long, and the quality seems good so far. But I will mention that because the top is smaller than the base, rain can easily get in. If you?re just going to use it outside your home to enjoy the shade, it would be fine. If you?re going out in the woods and expect to have it keep you dry regardless of weather, well, that?s not going to work so great. Some of the seams could be stronger?I hope they don?t eventually rip.

Makes Being Outside So Much Better

My wife and I love the outdoors, but we hate the bugs and the heat. (I know, that comes with the territory!) But we don?t have to hassle with either because of our Eureka Hex Screen House. We are crazy about it and wouldn?t spend nearly as much time outside if we didn?t have it. It?s easy to set up and is a nice size?we even put an outdoor swing inside. We?ve had it up through sun and storms for more than two years now, and it?s lasted just fine. I recommend this product.

    Best I've Ever Owned

This is the best screen house I ever owned, and I?ve owned several. In the past when it got windy, whoops, I?d watch the house blow away like all those nannies in Mary Poppins. With this one it?s really fast and simple for me to flatten when bad weather?s approaching (just unfasten the poles) and then to set up again afterwards. I?m very pleased with the quality of this product.

    Some Bad but Mostly Good

We like this screen house a lot, so let me give some negatives first and finish with the positives. I wish the stakes that come with it were metal. The ones they include are plastic and are really difficult to work with. I eventually replaced them with metal stakes. I also wish the doors were taller?if you?re over five feet tall, you?ll have to bend a bit to get in and out. Also, the coating on the top isn?t as thick as for a tent, so it isn?t completely waterproof. OK, now the positives. It?s really easy to put together, and it?s secure once it?s assembled, even in the wind. It?s really well designed and is made from quality materials. It?s not likely to rip out at the seams. I like the six-pole design too.

    Nice Screen House

I really like the tight mesh on this screen house because it keeps even the smallest bugs out. We used ours off and on for several years and were happy with it overall. One negative was the poor quality of the zippers, which are not made of metal and ended up breaking. Probably if you?re very careful with them (don?t let the kids manhandle them!) they will last okay. Also, you?ll probably want to use a fan inside because it gets stuffy in there. We put a picnic table inside and found it roomy enough, but be aware that it doesn?t keep rain out if the wind is blowing.
