A base plate lends additional stability to your tent set up. Usually tent frames are made of some kind of tubing-whether galvanized steel or of aluminum profile, and the baseplates-on the bottom of the frame, are fixed with metal anchors to the ground-or by some other special-designed connection to the ground.
