This aluminum pop up canopy tent is commercial quality. It is half as heavy and every bit as sturdy as a steel canopy. The frame is tubular aluminum with two inch diameter ribs. The cover is 500-denier polyester that is naturally resistant to water, mold and mildew. The seams are double stitched reinforced. The cover is UV treated to protect from the damaging rays of the sun. The legs are height adjustable. ShelterLogic ALUMI-MAX Pop Up Canopy Tent measures about 10 foot wide x 10 foot long.

I am looking for canopy tent that we can use at home and while camping and at festivals. It needs to provide both sun and rain protection (we live in the NW!) and be fairly wind resistant. Ideally we would like a 12x12 canopy, but we don't want something that will break after a year or two. Obviously price is a concern as well so the $1200 models would be hard to justify. Again, it won't be used commercially, but we have kids and will probably set it up dozens of times per year and leave it up at home for weeks at a time. Thanks.

Answer:

We have several 12 x 12 canopies but all pop-up type canopies are designed primarily for shade and not made to withstand high winds. Most are also only water resistant rather than water proof. Following is a link to a 10 x 10 canopy that is water proof:

If the legs are set at the highest/longest setting, how high is the edge of the canopy?

Answer:

The bottom edge of the canopy is approximately 7 feet from the ground on the canopy's highest setting and 6 feet on the lowest.
