Is this canopy strong enough to leave unattended over the winter with out clearing the snow from the roof? It might get 3 to 4 feet of snow where I live.
By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on August 25, 2014
No, it is not. The manufacturer recommends that any accumulated snow be removed as soon as possible.
The best snow load rated shelters of this type we carry are the ShelterTube shelters by ShelterLogic
. These are available in both gray and green in sizes of 12 x 20 x 11, 12 x 25 x 11 and 12 x 30 x 11. They can resist winds up to 80 mph and snow/ground loads of 43 pounds per square foot (when used correctly).

Does this ShelterLogic 12x20x10 round garage canopy come with the ratchet tile anchors? If not, how many do I need to build this canopy? Also, are there any other parts that you would recommend for this kit beside the anchor tie downs?
By Emily - eCanopy Product Specialist on May 18, 2015
The ShelterLogic 12 x 20 x 10 Round Portable Garage Canopy - Green - 73342 does not come with the ratchet style anchor kit. Please use the link below to view the anchor kit you might be interested in. It is sold in a set of 4 so you can apply 1 to each corner of the shelter for added stability.

Is the frame of this ShelterLogic 12 x 20 x 10 round portable garage canopy strong enough to support a poly tarp over the top as a kind of second layer during snow season?
By Kelsey C. - eCanopy Product Specialist on October 12, 2015
Answer:This product has a welded 1-5/8" diameter 17 gauge steel frame and should be able to handle a tarp over the top of the canopy. However, this product is not snow/ground load rated.

What kind of snow load can this handle?
By Kelsey C. - eCanopy Product Specialist on September 28, 2016
Answer:This item is not snow load rated. You would need to make sure there is no heavy fall on the top during the winter or it could cause frame damage. If you need extra protection, you will need to look at our items that are specifically snow load rated, such as the ShelterTubes.
