    Snug
First, a little about myself. I’m just over five feet tall, and I tell people that even though I have a “warm heart,” I’m “cold natured.” By which I mean I tend to be cold even when other people are warm. So, having told you that, I’ll now tell you about this sleeping bag. I found it quite snug and cozy for someone of my height. If you’re taller than me, you may want to consider ordering the longer version. Also, in my opinion the bag should not be rated for temperatures as cold as zero degrees Fahrenheit. I’ve used it on three trips, and as long as the night-time temps stayed from above freezing to around 50, it was great—nice and snug! I’d also recommend that you get a sleeping pad to put under it—that will help keep you warmer too. Pros: The “stuffable” pillow is great—I stuffed it with my down-filled jacket and had a great night’s sleep. The bag also really keeps out the wind. Cons: Too heavy to carry on long camping trips (although it’s not bad at all for walk-in sites). Kind of hard to get it back into the sack when you’re packing up. But I like this bag a lot and would recommend it.

    Too Big for Backpacking
Well, I can’t comment on whether this bag keeps you warm or not; I never got to use it. Why? Beause it was too big to stuff into my backpack! True stuff size is probably about 13 x 20. Going camping? You should be fine with it. Going backpacking? Nope.

Plan to Wear Lots of Clothes
This didn’t keep my son warm enough on a cold night of camping. He had to put on all the clothes he had with him. . . . That kept him almost warm enough. Probably an OK bag if the weather isn’t too cold.

    Zipper Needs Improvement
Great bag, keeps me warm even when it gets down to about 35 degrees F. I’m not crazy about the zipper, though. The teeth are small and the pull-tabs bend easily. I’m thinking they’re going to break off before long, and then how will I zip it? The tiny teeth on the zipper itself also get hung up. If your hands are cold, this zipper is especially tough to work with. The bag itself is great, though, so it’s too bad I have to gripe about the zipper. Improve that and I’ll write a better review.

    Didn't Keep Me Warm Enough
If I had it to do over again and could get this bag for sixty bucks or so, I’d do it. But I’d recommend you use it only for car camping or when the weather isn’t cold. A friend and I took a hiking/backpacking for a couple of days. The nights got down to ten degrees or so, and I was too cold at night when using this bag. Negatives: Fill is thin. Zippers are cheap. Hard to compress into a small sack. Positives: The bag is roomy. Would be fine if the nights were no colder than about 25 degrees.

    Not Happy
Sorry, not happy with this bag. Paid extra for priority mail, but it still came two days later than promised. I had a TERRIBLE time getting it out of the sack. It’s HUGE. And heavy. Take my advice, spend some extra money and get a decent bag.

    Warm but Bulky
On the good side, this bag keeps you toasty, is comfy, and has a hood that you can adjust, which I like a lot. But it’s unwieldy—not something you’d want to carry in a backpack. And I really struggled to fit it into its carrying sack.

Bulky? Yes, but What Did You Expect???
People complain about the bag being bulky. Well, what do you expect if you’re looking for a bag that will keep you warm on cold nights? I think it’s a great bag, and is a good bargain for the cost. Great quality, kept me warm when the temps were below 30 F. My wife and I zipped it up to a second bag, and that was a really nice way to keep us both warm. I think everybody will like this bag unless you’re planning on hiking a long way and don’t want to have to carry it.

    Happy with It
No complaints. Price is right. Quality is great. Keeps me warm. Not heavy. Adjustable hood is a nice feature. I like it and recommend it!

    Performs Well
If you want a bag that keeps you warm at night when the temps range from 30 degrees to 40 degrees, this would be a good choice. The description says it’s rated as low as zero degrees Fahrenheit. I usually assume you have to add about 20 degrees on to those descriptions. I used this bag one night when it got down to about 20, and I wasn’t as warm as I’d have liked. On the other hand, if the night is fairly warm (say, 60 degrees or higher), you might be too hot in this bag. Of course, you can always sleep on top of it. Good bag for mild temps and car camping or canoe trips—a little heavy to carry on a hike.

Great Bag! Stuff Sack? Not So Great
I love this sleeping bag. We’ve used this on several Boy Scout trips. No complaints about the bag. Stuff sack? That’s a different story. Right after we got the bag and unrolled it the first time, when I was trying to cram the bag back into the sack, one of the strap buckles broke. Oh great. So I may have to find another sack somewhere else to use instead. I was disappointed, too, because I really thought I was going to like the stuff sack.

    Excellent Bag
I always park near where I’m camping, so the size and weight of this bag aren’t issues for me. I sleep great in it on cold nights—really warm! I also like the hood that can be adjusted. It’s got plenty of room and seems to be of sturdy construction. I’m happy with it!
