Is there any way that we can personalize the EZ Up canopy that we already own? Can we heat press vinyl on it or would it need to be silk screened?
By Dawn H. on June 13, 2013
Answer:The material is too porous to for press on vinyl. You may be able to find someone who can screen print on it for you. We cannot screen print on already manufactured items and our process requires the printing to be done prior to the tent being sewn together.

Most of our pop-up canopies feature water-resistant tops, with varying levels of fabric thickness. Please see each model's item description and features for more information. Meanwhile, the only 100% waterproof 10x10 pop-up canopy we offer is the Vitabri V3 10 x 10 Aluminum Pop Up Canopy

What are the best rated brand canopies for durability?
By Dawn H. on June 4, 2014
The very best is the Caravan Monster
which has an ultra-tough industrial-grade design.
However, if this is not within your budget, we would recommend either the Carvan Classic
which has a commercial grade steel frame or the Caravan Aluma
which has a commercial grade aluminum frame.

Which canopy is best for the beach?
By Dawn H. on June 5, 2014
The best canopy would be the 10 x 10 Caravan Monster
as it has a very heavy duty frame. Our second recommendation would be the 10 x 10 Caravan Aluma
. If neither of these are in your budget range, any of the Caravan brand
canopies will be a good choice. You will just need to remember to anchor whichever one you choose securely or use Weight Bags
around the legs to secure it against the breezes.

My husband is a welder and wants to know which canopy color is best to reduce the amount of heat from the sun.
By Collin C. on June 30, 2014
Traditionally, white is the best color to use. Although the tent does let more light through, being white in color, tents that are colored absorb a great deal more heat and transmit it to the area beneath them. One tent that excels at U.V. protection is the Undercover 10 x 10 Professional-Grade Aluminum Popup Shade Package with White Top
. Not only is the top a U.V. blocker, but the peak is ventilated to allow heat to escape. This can make a big difference in temperatures under the tent.

Are most art show tents only 7 feet tall?
By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on September 17, 2014
For pop-up style canopies, the average peak height is 12 feet while the average walk under clearance is about 6-1/2 feet. However, most of the Caravan brand
canopies have a walk under clearance of 7 feet, one of the highest in the industry.

I am replacing an old "E-Z Up Encore II" tent. I have replaced the top about 2 time over its life but because it is no longer made, the replacements tops are sort of generic and will sage a little from being too high in the frame. I would like to replace my old canopy with a waterproof or near waterproof at around 500 denier. I leave the canopy up all summer firmly secured to my deck and its railings and I have never lost one due to damage in 15 years or so. Which canopy do you recommend to replace my old E-Z Up Encore II?
