What type of foundation does this come with?
The "foundation kit" is perhaps better described as a foundation frame. It is a metal framework allowing you to anchor the shed to a concrete pad while providing a structure on which to lay a wooden floor. Please see the instructions for the foundation in the installation manual for more details.

QUALITY, AND EASY TO BUILD

This was a very easy building to build. Directions must be followed and read carefully as you go thru the steps.

Vents

The shed is well build. Easy to assemble but follow the instructions closely. The shed needs stronger railings on the side walls and better ventilation top and bottom for locations like Texas. But very happy with my purchase.

Pros

Well build.

Cons

Better ventilation. I added my own ventilations.

Quality Shed

Make sure you build/have a level and square foundation. I used "castle blocks" with treated 2x4s (so they were off the ground). The extra time to get it square and level is worth it long term and for assembly of shed. Wait til you have shed before finalizing foundation (foundation isn't exactly 8x 8). Shed goes together well, instructions are precise BUT read them first and make your notes on the page to remind you of key points once you start assembling. It will take much longer than you expect to assemble shed (esp if you are doing it exactly right). I did water-proofing and wind resistance options and recommend everyone do this: minimal cost (less than $15) and great dividends. Put in a 3/4 inch floor as recommended for strength.

Pros

Will not rot. Looks nice. Lives up to expectations

Cons

Instructions require great attention. Doesn't assemble quickly but assembles well (a con and a pro)
