Can this be attached just to the front of a tent to divert rain from over the opening?

Hello,
These are usually used on the sides of a tent. It has velcro strips on the gutter that attaches to the velcro on the valances. Its normally used to connect two canopies and use as one.

Does this gutter attach with Velcro on the two abutted sides? My canopies have Velcro on the inside for side curtain attachment.
