Does this tent have a label or stamp on the tent regarding the fire resistant certification? I'm interested in the text however my city requires a stamp or label attached to the tent.

The canopy in this package deal has a certificate sewn to the top that states it is CPAI-84 flame certified, which is a standard for the state of California. While it is also NFPA-701 certified, this information is not sewn on the canopy top.

Is the top waterproof or should I use a waterproof spray on it?
    By Dawn H. on February 21, 2014

    Answer:
The top is water resistant but not totally waterproof. As with most pop-up canopies, it can leak at the seams in heavy or sustained rain. Rain can also pool in the top of the canopy, causing damage to the frame. The only waterproof canopy we carry is the Vitabri.

I was wondering how the walls connect to one another - do they zipper?

    By Dawn H. on April 22, 2014

    Answer:
Yes, the walls connect to each other with zippers at the edges.

By Phyllis from Smithfield, Utah on May 14, 2014
How do the side walls attach? Can they be rolled up to the canopy?
    By Chris C. on May 14, 2014

    Answer:
As you can see here, the sidewalls attach to the perimeter of the frame forming the valance by velcro strips that wrap around the frame. The sidewalls then zipper to one another at the legs. The sidewalls also utilize velcro straps to connect securely to the legs if not all four sidewalls are utilized. The sidewalls can be rolled up and tucked in the space between the frame and the valance of the canopy top itself.

I just got the craft show canopy package, I'm gonna set it up next friday, when I take it down, does the top just stay on? I hope so that would be nice. It looks like 1 person can set it up once the top's on. Is this true?
    By Collin C. on May 27, 2014

    Answer:
The top can indeed be left in place on the canopy when it is folded down. It is recommended to remove it whenever time may allow, as this will help to increase the longevity of the material, however it is not absolutely necessary. The tent can indeed be set up by a single individual.
By Nonie from Sterling, VA on June 3, 2014

    Answer:
Yes, the top just stays on. You probably could set it up with just one person, but it would definitely be a lot easier with two.
By CT from Shickshinny, PA on June 3, 2014

    Answer:
We put ours away with canopy on. Theoretically, one person could set up. Two is better. Opens amazingly easy.
By Jon from Denver, CO on June 3, 2014

    Answer:
Everyone I know always leaves the top on. It'll fit in the bag with the top on, though the first time or two while the fabric's still a bit stiff you'll have to squeeze and wrestle with it a little. On most surfaces (like, the usual asphalt or concrete) if you weight down one leg and then slightly lift and pull the opposite (diagonally) leg out, you can open it by yourself. When it's partway open, it often works best if you step to the center and lift up on the base of the center post. That usually makes the scissor beams open under the pull of gravity.
By Dick from St. Petersburg, FL on June 3, 2014

    Answer:
Yes - 1 person can pretty much put up and take down - though two makes it easier. We just got ours - have used once. Happy with it. Ideally, cover gets folded and stored separately - otherwise it would simply take up more space to store with cover on - frame wouldn't fold up as small.
By Ravi from New Jersey on June 3, 2014

    Answer:
You really have no option except to remove it... otherwise folding up the frame will be problematic... and you would likely to damage the top in short order trying to crunch it in with the frame. However it goes on and comes off effortlessly....it re-folds nicely.... and it comfortably fits back in the pocket that is made for it.
By Elise from Washington on June 3, 2014

    Answer:
This tent is great. We've set it up two weekends now as we are vendors at a local farmers market and it's easy breezy. The frame is heavy so my husband has to carry it and load it, but that's what makes it sturdy.

It has rings that pull easily to move the bars into different levels, so much nicer than the push in kind. The top arrives separate than the frame but is easy to attach to the frame and it stays put with Velcro, it can be done with one person but a second is helpful, it does not need to be removed and set on again with each use.

We bought an extra top for $50 in orange so as to match our product theme and to stand out among all the white canopies. The top is well made and not flimsy and repels water nicely. You will not believe how easy it is to assemble and reassemble this canopy, five stars for sure.
By Larry from Wilmington, DE on June 3, 2014

    Answer:
I wouldn't keep the top on the frame when closing. The top is very heavy; much heavier than the "consumer" grade top. Plus, i don't think it would fit in the bag with the top on. The material is very dense. The bag has room if the fabric part is folded.
By Dave from MD on June 3, 2014

    Answer:
Actually you need to take the canopy off as you are taking it down. I put mine up last week then needed to take it down last night in anticipation of storms coming through. One person can put it up, if you follow the instructions. For taking it down, you just reverse the order of what you did to put it up. I'm completely satisfied with the quality of the canopy package. I haven't used the walls yet as I haven't had a need. I hope this helps.
By Anne from Winston-Salem, NC on June 3, 2014

    Answer:
I have practiced setting up my canopy, but haven't had it long enough yet to use at a craft show. i noticed that the directions call for removing the top prior to putting it away and so I did. I was able to set the whole thing up and take it down, packing it into the carry-case by myself. I am sure it would be easier to do with a second person, but it is definitely do-able by 1 person.
By Leann from St. Louis, MO on June 3, 2014

    Answer:
The top can be kept on and it is easier if you do.
My new tent was tested last weekend for the first time. The weather was humid and we had rain (heavy at times) on both days of the show. The eCanopy product performed much better than other tents around me. For one, it didn't "pucker" and form pockets of rain on the canopy. Instead the rain rolled right off the top to the ground. I didn't put on all the sides, but my jewelry stayed dry anyway.
In re: setting up w/ only one person--my boyfriend is 6'1" and was able to do it while I was unpacking other stuff. I am only 5'3" and am too short and not strong enough to pull the tent out of the bag and assemble it by my self. Ditto for putting the sides on. It is also a nuisance trying to roll up the sides when it is not raining.
A lot of improvising needed to be done and again because of my height, it was hard for me.
By Erine from Roscommon on June 5, 2014

    Answer:
I left it on this last time, obviously not conducive to storage but a time saver.
By Shelley from Toronto, Canada on June 5, 2014

    Answer:
Hi! No the top does not stay on but but it is quite easy to take on and off.

I would suggest that it is much easier to have two people set it up. I have only set my new one up once so perhaps in time I would be able to set it up myself but no doubt it is more simple with two people. It only took us less than 15 minutes.

I bought it to vend with at festivals and I found it easy and it does look really nice. Mine is white and if it lands on soil it will get dirty fast so be careful.

The sides are really thin and flimsy but they will do. The weights are good. I test it out for real this Sunday.

Can you have your name printed on the front valance with this canopy?
By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on June 25, 2014

    Answer:
We cannot print on the package deals. Printing must be done prior to the tent sewn together. You can fill out the form at the following link and upload your logo for a free quote:

    Canopy Custom Graphics Quote Form

Our Graphics Department must actually see your logo as well as the placements you require the logo before they can provide you with a quote.

The frame equivalent to the Craft Show canopy is the light weight steel option on the quote form.

Another option is to have a headband printed. This would fit around the valance of the Craft Show canopy. You would go to the same link, do not pick out any frames, and in the additional information box you would say you are interested in a headband only and tell them what wording you are interested in having printed on it.

What is the difference between the fire/flame resistance ratings CPAI-84 vs NFPA-701 certifications?

It appears many people are recommending purchase of canopies with Heat and Wind vents, is this canopy vented?
By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on July 22, 2014

    Answer:
The difference is simply that they have been rated by two different agencies. While the CPAI-84 certification is acceptable in many areas, the NFPA-701 rating is gaining in popularity so it would be wise to check and see what is required in the areas you will be using your canopy.

The Caravan brand canopy has both ratings and have tags in the tops that show both of these ratings. Some of the Undercover brand canopies have both ratings but only have the CPAI-84 tag in the top. Each canopy page will show the rating it carries.

The canopy you have linked to has both rating but does not have a vented top. The only canopies we carry that have vented tops are some of theUndercover brand canopies.

Is the height of the canopy adjustable?
By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on August 22, 2014

Yes, there are 5 height settings approximately 3" apart, with the highest setting allowing a 7 foot clearance height underneath the valance portion of the canopy.

I am interested in a tent like this but we will be using it on hard-pan and I was wondering what kind of weight bags are used and what are they usually filled with? Will cinder blocks do as well?

By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on August 25, 2014

    Answer:
The Craft Show Package you are viewing actually includes the recommended weight bags. These can be filled with sand or gravel and strapped around the legs of your canopy.
By Kim from Iowa on August 25, 2014

    Answer:
Cinder blocks would work but I find that carrying the weight bags is much easier. The weight bags do not have hard edges like the blocks which can damage our other items used in our booth. You can fill the bags with sand and pea gravel. The tent is very well made and worth the money.
By Don Wade from Covington, GA on August 25, 2014

    Answer:
I have not used the bags as yet. I plan to fill them with play sand and use them in Oct. I have been using small bucket that I had used with the other tent I had. They will be easier to pack in the van than the buekets. I have always used the buckets instead of stakes. I only plan to use the stakes if the is any high wids predicted.
By Claudia from Pennsylvania on August 25, 2014

    Answer:
I use mid size cinder blocks at each leg and tie to the blocks. We are on black top. We love this tent- strong in the wind- and we get wind at the farmers market! I was afraid as it doesn't have a vent at the top, but so far- it is quite sturdy.
By Jane and Rocco from New York on August 25, 2014

    Answer:
I used mine for the first time this weekend and filled it with sand. It was great!
By Judith Wilson from Los Angeles, CA on August 25, 2014

    Answer:
We bought this item and filled the weight bags by using extra strong plastic bags with sand. We have about 16 to 20 pounds of sand in each bag. The cinder blocks would scratch the paint and be a hazard to people walking near the legs. Sand is cheap and the weight bags don't take up as much room as the blocks as they wrap around the legs. They are also more flexible. We use our canopy on asphalt and are pleased with it and how nice it looks.
By Alllison from North Carolina on August 26, 2014

    Answer:
Fill the heavy duty bags with sand about 20 lbs in each pocket two pockets per bag. The top of bag velcros over and then tie to poles or Velcro and fasten a pin at bottom of pole o bag. You have to purchase a pin at any hardware, clip pin. This operation seems very nice , easy up and down. . Just take your time.

Is this canopy package, in brown color, 100% opaque?

By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on August 18, 2014

It is considered opaque but it will not block out 100% of the light. Some light will show through, especially in bright sunlight.

Does this tent have easy buttons to push when putting up/down? Also, do you have a video on how to put this up/down?

By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on August 25, 2014

    Answer:
This canopy actually has pull-rings on both the legs and the trusses. These are easier than push buttons as you can simply slide your finger into the ring to lock/unlock the leg or truss adjustment rather than trying to push in a button.

There is indeed a video. It is just underneath the picture on the item page.

My display walls are 7 feet tall. Will they fit inside this canopy?
By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on September 17, 2014

    Answer:
Most of our Caravan brand canopies have a clearance of 7 feet. The Craft Show canopy you have linked to is a Caravan brand canopy and has the 7 foot clearance. If your display walls are exactly 7 feet tall, it should fit but it may be a tight fit.

Will the Flourish Stabar kit and mesh panels work with this frame?
By Emily - eCanopy Product Specialist on October 15, 2014

    Answer:
Unfortunately, no. This is the Caravan canopy Displayshade frame. The Flourish Stabar is for the EZ Up canopy frame so the 2 are incompatible to interchange accessories.

Can the top stay on the steel frame when it is taken down? That is one thing I like about my current EZUp Speed Shelter.
By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on October 9, 2014

    Answer:
While it is possible, it is not recommended that the top be left on when the frame is collapsed. This is due to both the possibility that the top material can get pinched and develop a hole as well as possible damage to the frame itself by having the top interfere with proper folding.
By Paul from Fort Worth, TX on October 9, 2014

    Answer:
The canvas top is separate from the frame. You open the frame up part way and just set it over it centering it and have the 4 corners lined up. As you finish pulling it open it stays in place and it has clips with elastic to help hold it on as well as the Velcro in the corners. Watch the set up video as it was what helped sell me on it.
By Terry from ID on October 9, 2014

    Answer:
Yes, the top stays on the frame and goes inside the bag just fine.
By Ashleigh from PA on October 10, 2014

    Answer:
Yes, the top can stay on when you collapse the tent. It also fits nicely in the bag with the top on.

I want a craft awning with optional sidewalls that can also be used as an extra living area with my 10' travel trailer. It tends to be windy sometimes so I need it to be secure. I would probably set it up on the ground, in the dirt, but occasionally it might be set on concrete/asphalt. What would you suggest?

For a strong canopy package with optional sidewalls, we would suggest the Craft Show 10x10 Canopy Package Deal + 4 Sidewalls & Weight Bags.

By Kevin E. - eCanopy Product Specialist on March 17, 2015

    Answer:
These walls attach to the canopy frame via Velcro straps which also zip to one another along the vertical edges.
By Trey from Richmond, VA on March 17, 2015

Do you have any on-line instructions for putting up this tent, the walls, filling the sandbags, and attaching them?
By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on March 25, 2015

    Answer:
We have the Side Wall installation instructions online but not the weight bag instructions.

For the weight bags, there are two pouches. You would fill each pouch to within about an inch of the top of the bag. You would then fold over the top which shuts with Velcro. You then place one pouch on each side of the leg and attach it by wrapping the Velcro strip attached to the back around the legs.

If you need more help, we would be happy to talk to you on the phone.

Is the 7 foot clearance at the sides or in the center of this Craft Show canopy package? I have 7 foot panels for hanging paintings and I need the clearance to secure the panels to the canopy frame.
By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on April 10, 2015

    Answer:

By Ron from Peru, IL on April 10, 2015

    Answer:
The seven foot clearance is at the sides as well as the center. With the framework of the tent there is no more clearance in the middle.

What is the leg size of this Craft Show canopy package? I need to buy weights because a show that I am getting ready to attend requires 40 lbs. of weight per bag. I bought the weight bags and loaded them with sand by putting them in freezer bags and then putting them in the weight bag. They don't weigh 40 lbs. so I need to add weight to each leg.
By Emily - eCanopy Product Specialist on April 20, 2015

    Answer:
The base of the leg is larger.
By Charlie from Gatesburg, PA on April 20, 2015

    Answer:
The legs have several (4 or 5) holes in them so that they are adjustable from probably 5 to 10 ft. Sorry I don't know the specifics as my canopy is packed away just now. I know that a six foot tall person can easily walk into the tent when the legs are extended fully.
By Jack from Fairfield, CT on April 20, 2015

    Answer:
The size of the legs are 3/4 inches square. The bags that came with this canopy can hold at least 40 lbs of sand. If your bags are too light, try adding a couple cups of water to each. I ran out to Home Depot and purchased patio paver sand and filled the bags. I filled 4 bags with three, 1/2 cubic foot bags of sand. The bags are heavy duty canvas with heavy duty stitching. They come with Velcro straps to wrap the sandbags to the legs of the canopy. As an added safety precaution, I looped a clothes line rope over the corner of the canopy framing and tied it to the handle of the bags.
By Larry Hinzman from Custer, SD on April 21, 2015

    Answer:
I have the same canopy package. The square legs are about 1 1/4" on a side. How I plan to anchor the canopy is to buy some screw in anchors for soil and tie them off to the rings above each leg. For more windy days I think I will need to get 4-5 gal. pails and fill them with sand then tie the pail handles to the same rings just mentioned. Just had mine canopy blow over today in a mild breeze. No damage however it is a tough canopy set up. The pail method will get you to 40 lbs I think. Have fun!!

    Answer:
I assume you mean when it's packed in its travel pack. Its approximately 3.5-4 feet.
By Tim from Madison, WI on August 10, 2015

    Answer:
I believe it is 5 ft tall, and 12 inches square. Once you get it in the canvas bag, it is compact, but the tent walls may add a little more bulk to it, so I keep them packed separately in a rubber made container with my tablecloths. My SUV has 66" in the back, but I could bungee the canopy to the roof rack if I need more space. Not sure if the canvas bag would keep it dry in a good soaking.

Can I hang wire and art work from the frame of this Craft Show 10x10 canopy package deal?
By Emily - eCanopy Product Specialist on September 15, 2015

Thank you for your inquiry. Per the manufacturer, they do not recommend hanging items from the frame due to the manufacturers warranty and the possible damage that could occur during set up. The product has not been tested with additional weight or hanging objects from the frame. They recommend using a craft display which you can purchase from local craft stores nation wide.

By Donna from Red Wing, MN on September 18, 2015

    Answer:
Absolutely! I use clothespins. I got plastic ones from Walmart that are white blue and light blue. I hang all of my advertising posters this way. My daughter hangs her bandanna flip flops too. I also use magnetic tape to attach advertising to the 4 vertical poles. The space is limited at these vendor events and one must be creative in using all options! GOOD LUCK! NAMASTE.

Do the sidewalls have to zipper together, or do they Velcro to the frame and have the option to zipper? Or by zipper, is it referring to the one panel in the front for entering. I want to make sure you don't need to use all 4 simultaneously.

The sidewalls come with options for being zippered together or for Velcro attachment for singular use. There is one panel which also has a middle-zipper entryway. The weights are just empty weight bags. You may fill them with up to 20 lbs each of sand, rocks, or other similar materials to secure your canopy.

Yes, ours came with a generously sized roller bag. We used this for the first time today, and it was a really nice set-up. I think we need to look up how to put the sides up because I don't think that we did it right. The frame on this tent is much heavier and nicer than our old tent. I think it will hold up well.

I need a tent for doing art fairs. Does this tent have steel frame? Do the sidewalls have zippers? Is it the same as the Classic 2? I have been using an ez up tent. I understand yours is a heavier more sturdy frame?
By Justin R. - eCanopy Product Specialist on March 9, 2016

    Answer:
The Craft Show canopy package includes a consumer-grade steel Caravan Displayshade frame. The sidewalls have zippers to seal the corners. It is not the same as the Classic line of Caravan frames, as the Classic line are commercial-grade steel as opposed to consumer-grade. The Classics are more durable, but are heavier than the Displayshades. However, both Caravan models are rated to be more durable than their E-Z UP equivalents.

What protects better from rain? A canopy with zipper walls or Velcro walls?
By Kevin E. - eCanopy Product Specialist on April 4, 2016

    Answer:
To be clear, none of our pop-up packages are rated for use in inclement weather and should be taken down to prevent damage. But, to your question, zippered walls like those in this Caravan kit would provide more complete protection that simple Velcro walls.
By Elizabeth Pulver from Williamson, NY on April 4, 2016

    Answer:
    Zipper Walls!
By Douglas from Tucson, Arizona on April 4, 2016

    Answer:
I am in Tucson, Arizona and we receive little rain so I am not a good reference.

My side walls hang from the frame via Velcro straps that are quite robust. The side panels attach to each other via zippers.

The sidewall would appear to work well in rain.

That is correct. The sides which are included with this package are only available in white. Color sidewalls must be purchased separately, and can be found under the Accessories tab on the item page.

    The Best 10x10 Canopy

We've only used this canopy for one season but decided to add a second one for our display setup. The original one has proved to be easy to setup & tear down, constructed very well and performed in all ways just like you would expect, or hope, that your canopy would. When it came time to add a second canopy, it was a no brainer, we purchased another 10x10 Caravan to match and compliment our original one.
    Pros:
quality, durability, ease of setup & tear down

It will not be the lightest out there, but I wanted strong and well made with sides.

Right out of the box, the setup was pretty easy! Yes, it's heavy, but I know that means it'll less likely tear or wear out over the next several years. Setup (while figuring out the directions) took 2 of us about 15 minutes. I know next time it'll pop up in less than 5. And worse-case scenario, it is possible to setup with one person, but it'll obviously take a while longer. While there are cheaper options out there for anyone needing a very simple, one day kind of tent, I was extremely impressed with the quality. For anyone who needs to reuse the tent, possibly multiple times a year, the extra cost seems worth it. I appreciate the roller bag!
    Pros:
Good quality Easy setup Fits easily in roller bag Good bundle deal Heavy Duty nylon top

Great canopy. Easy set up. (I can do it by myself, but is much easier with a helper.) For any canopy in this price range, this is the cream of the crop.
    Pros:
Quality materials. Great price. Easy set up.
    Cons:
    None as of yet.

Prefect balance between cost and function

My craft show tent is very easy to set up with 2 people and looks great! It's a little heavy to roll around, but it's worth the weight because it doesn't blow around even without the sand bags.

    Highly recommend

I used this tent as soon as I got it in and I couldn't have enjoyed the set up and tear down more. Perfect set up tent for a one day show.
    Pros:
Sturdy solid construction with a very rugged canopy. Customer service with this company is second to none. After my order I received emails for confirmation, when it shipped including tracking info, an email on the delivery day as well as a delivered notification.

I now own two of these tents, which I used side by side for a 10' X 20' space at a recent craft show. They look fantastic and help up to very gusty winds (with the walls removed). Super easy to zip up at night and unzip in the morning to start selling again.
    Pros:
Sturdy construction. Professional look. Easy to zip up and unzip. Adjustable height - can be lowered at night and weighted down in heavy winds.
    Cons:
The corners of the top tend to pull apart after a little bit of time. Had to fix with a needle and heavy thread. Too hard for me to set up on my own. Need two people. It's a little heavy and awkward to get out of the bag.

    Really nice!

I love this canopy! It's really easy to put up and take down. The only thing that i don't like is the bag. Why is the zipper on the bottom instead of the side? I am 5'5" and need help just to put the bag over the top of the closed canopy. I tall person needs to hold the bag over the folded canopy and then I can pull it down. Not a smart or practical design. I do love the canopy itself though.
    Pros:
    Canopy
    Cons:
    Bag design

We bought an Ecanopy to replace our original, less expensive canopy. The specifications stated that there was over 6 and a half feet head room. Customers did not bump their heads entering our booth. The legs are heavier duty tubular metal. Raising the canopy was easy, we practiced the weekend before. Other artists that assisted our set up were impressed with the ease and structural firmness of the unit. This is a total package with the weight bags and carrying case. A great bonus. I e-mailed the order and it was delivered in less than a week. Hopefully we won't have to use it, but there was a parts list included.

    The Canopy survived Burning Man.

Yeah, it provided the required shade and did not surcome to the blowing sand. The structure is easy to put up, easy to take down.
    Pros:
    Sturdy and easy to manage.
    Cons:
The side wall material is flimsy, would rather have the same material on the sides as the top. I would be willing to pay extra for this option.

    Very good product and service!

2 nd identical tent we have purchased from e-canopy. Our business has grown and we needed a second tent as we have 2 shows on the same weekends. These tents are extreamly durable and of the highest quality. We have seen vendors who purchase the cheap tents from the big box stores and they are junk. The legs bend, no carrying bag or weights. never any issue's with e-canopy. Our original tent is going on 5 years old.

The first time I opened my eCanopy I thought to myself it was totally worth every penny. I was at a weekend festival where there were thunderstorms all day Friday and my canopy kept all my merchandise dry and looking good! I couldn't be happier and will definitely be a returning customer.

I used my tent for the first time this past weekend. It was very easy to put up. I had a little trouble with the side walls but they worked well during the rain that we had at the Arts Festival.
    Pros:
Very sturdy! Kept the rain out! Weight bags worked very well. Easy to put up and take down.
    Cons:
Trouble rolling the side walls up and attaching them at the top.

This is my second purchase of this canopy package. We use them at farmers' markets and overall are pleased with the product. Only complaint is that the tarp on the canopy I purchased last year has developed a tear at one corner but it has seen a lot of use.
    Pros:
Pretty easy to set up and tear down. Everything included in one package
    Cons:
The tarp on my first canopy tore after 1 year of use.

I love the new tent. It seems to be of great quality fabric and construction. I set it up in my yard to make sure I could do it alone, and I was able to. When I got to the farmers market, it was even easier. The bonus was that I stayed nice and dry when the rain started : )
