How does this canopy tent compare to the Caravan Aluma 10 x 10 Canopy with the Professional Top?
The Caravan Aluma has a much stronger frame. Also in the event that there is any damage to the canopy, replacement parts are readily available. You can also purchase the 10 x 10 Aluma Package Deal which will come with a roller bag and removable side walls for shade.
What is the height of the sides of this canopy? Also, what is the weight?
We'd like to use it to shelter expensive music gear and PA equipment. Is this the right canopy for us? We do feel 12x12 is the best size.
The side height at its highest setting 6'-11". If this is the size you need, it will work for you in fair weather. It is not waterproof so it would not be a good shelter for rainy weather. You would need to find something that has a polyethylene top which is not available in pop up style canopies. The closest pop up canopies with have with a water proof top is the 10 x 10 Vitabri or the 10 x 15 Vitabri.

There are no sides, this canopy is open. It is a nice, inexpensive canopy, and it works fine as a rain and sun shelter, as long as the rain or sun is coming straight down. If you need a shelter with sides, I suggest you look at other tents.
You spent $$ on your expensive music gear and PA equipment, why wouldn't you spend $$ to protect your stuff? BTW, 12X12 is a great size, we use ours as a festival jamming canopy in the campground, and we can get a fairly large group of musicians under it.
I am looking for a 10x10 Canopy to park by VW Convertible under, and I live less than a mile from the Pacific Ocean. So far, I have purchased so far 3 of the 10x10 pop up shelter with the little stakes that go in the ground, but because the tops are not vented, when we get the winds that can come up from the Ocean, the wind gets under it, and picks it up and then it gets destroyed.
Does anyone made one where the top is vented, so the wind won't pick it up and carry it away?
I am looking for a shelter to park my original antique Mini Cooper under while we spend January through March in Florida. I would prefer a water resistant one that is either 10x12 or 12x12. I would also prefer screen sides or solid sides. What would you recommend? The car is 10' 2" long and 5' wide.
No, the top is not vented on this canopy. While we do have some 10x10 pop-ups that have a ventilated top, unfortunately we do not offer any 12x12s that do at this time. If you are interested in a 10x10 with a ventilated peak, please let us know and we will be happy to provide more information.
This canopy top is not lined. However, only 2% of the sun's UV rays will penetrate the cover's fabric.
The Quikshade line of canopies we offer, do have an Aluminex backing which blocks 100% of UV rays.
