How much does this canopy weigh? Is it possible for one person to set it up in less than 1/2 hour? Are the side walls made of the same material as the canopy top?
    By Dawn H. on April 23, 2012

The weight is 68 pounds. It is very possible for one person to set up as long as the weight is not an issue. The sides and top are made of the same 500 Denier polyester.

How long will flame certification last before retreatment?
By Sarah on April 18, 2017

Fire certification does not require re-treatment. It is permanently treated.

How do you arrange the Velcro-ed side walls as in the picture with them draped around the poles? Do they accordion fold at the top of the pole, but somehow not gape where released from the Velcro?
    By Magan B. on November 13, 2012

To position the walls draped around the poles, you will attach half of the velcro tabs on one side of the corner (under the valance) and half on the other side of the corner (under the valance).

Does all set up equipment come with this tent?
If not, what else is required? I need one that is easy for two people to set and storage.
    By Tommy H. on August 12, 2013

Yes. All setup equipment comes with this. Including stakes and ropes. This is a very easy canopy to set up.

Is there a rain tarp for this tent? Do any other models come with rain tarps?
By Emily on December 17, 2013

We sell the Vitabri canopy, which features the waterproof top. Please use the link below to view this canopy.

Do the sidewalls come together and zip up to form a private/bug-free enclosure?
By Emily on March 5, 2014

Yes, they completely enclose the canopy. As far as bug free, I'm sure it will help keep them out but not "bug free".

By Jackie from Palm City, FL on March 5, 2014
Are the sidewalls CPAI-84 Flame Certified and NFPA-701 Flame Certified or just the roof of the tent?
By Emily on March 6, 2014

The sidewalls are fire rated as well.

By Arb from NJ on March 10, 2014
Is this available in other colors?
By Emily on March 11, 2014

Unfortunately we only have this unit in white at this time.

Although the description states that the legs are straight, in the image/photo they look like they are angled outward. Are they truly straight? Also, is this canopy vented?
By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on August 1, 2014

The legs are indeed straight. The walls gathered around the legs are puffed out slightly, giving the illusion that the legs are angled. The canopy is not vented.

Do the tent sides of this King Canopy 10x10 DuraLite composite canopy zip or fasten with Velcro? How light/dark is the tent inside when it is closed?
By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on May 12, 2015

They zipper together at the edges. When closed up, it is light enough to see.
By Kayl from Sarasota, FL on May 12, 2015

The side walls attach to the roof by velcro but zip together along each of the legs, as well as another zipper for the front entrance. I was pleased at how bright the space was with only the front zipper opened. I am a photographer and felt there was enough light during the day for my clients to still see my photos without adding extra lighting.

Do the side curtains slide at the top or are they attached with Velcro?
By Alexis on September 8, 2015

This item includes four tie-back sidewalls with hook and loop fasteners that zip together at the edges.

By Nadine from Scottsdale, AZ on January 13, 2017
Can I zip it up to close it? Thank you.
By Darnarius on January 16, 2017

Yes, all sidewalls zip together to close the unit.

By Kevin from NE on June 20, 2017
Is this strong enough to hold a hammock/air chair (with a 200 lb man in it)?
By Will M. - eCanopy Product Specialist on June 21, 2017

Manufacturers of pop-up style tents do not recommend suspending anything from the truss system aside from the sidewalls, but we have found that the trusses can only support about 15 pounds without damaging the frame and voiding the warranty.

I would recommend this item to a friend.
Very easy for two people to put up and take down. One person can take canopy down in a situation such as high winds/storm. The canopy fits perfectly on our patio.
made of solid materials and heavy enough to stay up in usual kansas breezes
no directions provided for wall attachment
