How do the legs on the Goliath assemble? And pack? What are the dimensions of the packed canopy?
    By Tommy H. on February 21, 2012

The frame is pre-assembled and folds up. It comes with a roller bag with dimensions of 66'' x 15'' x 14''.

By Barbi Brant from St. Albert, Alberta on March 2, 2012
    Is this tent fire retardant?
    By Dawn H. on March 2, 2012

Yes, it is. It has both the CPAI-84 rating and the NFPA-701 rating. Please note that only the CPAI-84 tag comes sewn into the canopy but a certificate can be provided for the NFPA-701 rating if needed.

How do the side walls connect to the frame? Zipper or Velcro straps? And is the top waterproof? If not, do you make a top that is water proof? I need it to protect my artwork at my art fairs.
    By Dawn H. on May 7, 2012

They attach by hook and loop fastener to the inner lip of the top. The top is not water proof, only water resistant. Following please find a link to the only water proof canopy we have:

    10 x 10 Vitabri

You will find the walls for it on the accessories tab.

By Steve from San Carlos, CA on April 23, 2017
Do all of the walls have zippered openings in the middle as shown?
By Sarah on April 24, 2017

You will receive 3 solid side walls and one side wall with a middle zipper.

By Steve from San Carlos, CA on April 23, 2017
From the reviews, it seems it is not good in the rain. Do you have another canopy with a more weather-resilient fabric in a similar design?
By Sarah on April 24, 2017

The only waterproof canopies we offer are the Vitabri brand, found here.

I've had a Caravan 10x10 tent for more than 10 years. I'm in the market for a new one, preferably a commercial model. Any suggestions?
    By Tyler M. on August 27, 2012

We recommend either the Caravan Classic 10x10 Package Deal or the Caravan Aluma 10x10 Package Deal. Both feature commercial grade steel and aluminum frames.

Can I buy this tent with a red top instead? (Even for an increased price?)
    By Magan B. on September 25, 2012

The Goliath is available in white only. For a comparable alternative in red, you may consider the Caravan Aluma 10 X 10 Canopy with Professional Top.

By Mary from Ann Arbor, MI on October 2, 2012
Are the sides connected with zippers or just Velcro?
    By Dawn H. on October 3, 2012

The sides connect together at the edges with zippers.

By Eugene from Clark, NJ on October 7, 2012
Can this tent be put up by just one person?
    By Magan B. on October 8, 2012

Yes, one person can assemble this pop-up tent.

By Renee from Lindstrom, MN on February 16, 2013
    1. Does the Goliath system offer fitted mesh/screen sidewalls?
    2. What wind speed will this canopy withstand?
    By Tommy H. on February 18, 2013

The manufacturer does not provide mesh walls for the Goliath. It has not been tested or rated for wind speeds.

Wind-rated canopies are actually fairly uncommon. It is always recommended to have them staked down and supervised as they are very lightweight structures that may not remain grounded under windy conditions.

By Frank from SC on April 11, 2013
If I order 2 of these canopies, is there a runoff spout that I can connect to them?
    By Tommy H. on April 11, 2013

Yes. You would order the King Canopy Rain Gutter

By Jim from SC on June 21, 2013
Is this tent waterproof? Will the roof collect water and sag when it rains?
    By Tyler M. on June 21, 2013

No, this canopy is not waterproof, and yes, water does collect on the peaks and will potentially cause the frame to collapse if the water is not removed.

The only 100% waterproof 10x10 pop-up canopy we offer is the Vitabri V3 10 x 10 Aluminum Pop Up Canopy.

By Jay from Scottsdale, AZ on December 4, 2013
Can we purchase the Goliath tent without the sides in blue?
By Emily on December 4, 2013

This canopy package is only in white for the top and walls.

By Roy from Sunnyside, FL on June 10, 2014
How does the top fit? Just Velcro or are there any screws? Are the sides zipped at the ends or middle? Do they zip in the center? If fully extended, do they reach the ground?
By Dawn H. - eCanopy Product Specialist on June 10, 2014

The top attaches with a loop straps setup. The sides zipper together at the edges. You will receive 3 solid side walls and one side wall with a middle zipper. And yes, the walls to extend to the ground.

For an outdoor show on pavement, can I have both the legs' weights and the side walls attached without one group interfering with the other?
By Kathy on April 17, 2017

    Hello Nancianne,

Using sidewalls and leg weights together isn't a problem.

    Have a great day.

How much snow can this 10 x 10 Goliath heavy-duty all-aluminum instant canopy with side walls withstand?
By Emily - eCanopy Product Specialist on November 25, 2015

The 10 ft X 10 ft Goliath Heavy-Duty All-Aluminum Instant Canopy with Sidewalls - White does not offer a snow load rating or wind rating. You would need to keep any precipitation knocked off and not allow it to accumulate.
By Lauri from Atlanta, GA on November 25, 2015

I'm from Atlanta, GA so I have not encountered any heavy snow yet since we rarely get it but it has stood up to heat waves and down pours. I get a lot of compliments from other artisans about how sturdy my Goliath is. I love, love, love this product!! Good luck!

By Roy from Franklin, NC on February 28, 2016
How water resistant is it? Will it remain dry in a rainstorm? I've bought two tents, and they start leaking by the second season.
By Emily - eCanopy Product Specialist on February 29, 2016

The 10 ft X 10 ft Goliath Heavy-Duty All-Aluminum Instant Canopy with Sidewalls is not water proof, only water resistant and you would need to use your judgement when set up during a rainstorm to keep the unit setup as well as keep the water from pooling up on the top to avoid leaking.
By Lonnie from Navarre, FL on February 29, 2016

To be honest I have not used it yet. I bought it to replace an EZ-UP that was destroyed during a rain storm, mainly because it seems to be beefier. It will be my secondary tent. I have a Craft Hut that is my primary tent.

By Leslie from Il on July 18, 2017
What are the dimensions when the tent is packaged up in the bag?
By Sarah on July 18, 2017

The dimensions when packed up in the bag are 66'' x 15'' x 14''.

The frame and legs of this canopy are great; we bought it because we lost a cheaper canopy in a storm. The only issue I have is the cheap sidewalls, they have plastic zippers and I don't see them lasting very long.
    Great frame.
    Plastic zippers on sidewalls.

Quality: not good. The fabric and frame are great. The design of the top pools water unless I pull and clamp the top at eight areas. This makes it look unprofessional.
    I like the heavy frame.
    The bad design on top.

I am very happy with the quality of the tent sideswalls on the Goliath tent. I like the Velcro attachment to the top, and the zippers seem to be of better than average quality. GoliathHowever, I am very dissatisfied with the canopy top. The top frame does not allow for a tight fitting top. It sags way too much compared to less expensive Easy-Up tent tops, and there is no way to adjust it. Just a little bit of rain will cause the top to pool in eight different places - 2 on each side. The CYA explanation is that the tent is not to be used in rain; however, it is advertised as ideal for craft shows. I think we all know you can set the tent up at a craft show with the sun shining and an hour later it can be raining. When that is the case, this tent fails. I have had 2 Easy-up tents which cost an average of $200 less each and never had a water pooling problem. For that reason, I would not recommend the Goliath tent.

We were looking for a quality tent for the Craft Fair's that we sell our cutting boards at. This tent so far has been everything it was advertised to be.Crafter's have approached us and asked where we got it. The legs are heavy duty and really help withstand wind and rain without moving about. This was a good investment and will last for years versus having to buy less expensive ones on yearly basis.

I used one belonging to friend for concessions. It worked beautifully. It rained for four hours and had no leaks with very little condensation. It dried quickly. I will be purchasing my own. It was very easy to set up and take down with two people.
Easy set up and take down. Very water resistant and stood up to stiff winds when secured by legs.
none noticed. Used for three day in a row.

Frame is Excellent but. . .

We've had the Goliath for three years and the frame has held up well - very sturdy. The sidewalls are a problem - the zipper pulls on three sides broke off and the velcro straps to attach them are not that well made. After getting small tears in the canopy, we ordered a new canopy and new sidewalls this summer - good thing we ordered both, because the new top has a continuous Velcro attachment and so do the new sides, so we would not have been able to use the old top with new sides and vice versa. The continuous Velcro makes for a strong seal at the top, BUT it also makes it very difficult to roll up the sides during art shows. Worst part is that the new sides are almost a foot shorter than the old sides, so if you use the canopy at full height, the sides are more than a foot off the ground! I contacted Goliath about this issue and was told "that's how we make them now". Until they redesign the sides and come up with a way to make it easy to roll up the sides, I will not recommend this tent to anyone who has to use it often.
    Strong frame
Sides are too short! Continuous Velcro attachment at top of sides makes it very difficult to roll up the sides during an art show.

We have a business that sells fine art products at art shows. Our motivation for purchasing the Goliath is that it appeared to offer the best protection for our product. We did not want to risk damage by buying a lesser product that has the distinct purpose of protecting it. The Goliath exceeds our expectations. King Canopy's customer is excellent and shipping from this store was quick. We will stick with King Canopy for future purchases and recommend them for your needs.
It is the best made canopy that we could find. We could spend twice as much and not improve the quality or ease of use. We could spend half as much and not sufficiently protect our product. We decided to do the thing that made best sense for protecting our product.
    There is nothing to dislike.

It was worth the money. The only thing that needs to be worked on is the zipper handles on the sides. They are a little weak, it would be better if they were heavy duty like the case.

This tent is a great heavy duty tent but slightly bigger than 10 X10. I had an existing Tent that I was using and only need to replace the tent frame. When the 10 X10 Gollath tent arrive it was to slightly bigger than expected therefore I can't use my own top and sides to the tent.

Very sturdy frame but the top was a little difficult to stretch on when fully opening framework. The Velcro straps on the sidewalls are not long enough to completely wrap around frame poles so even in the slightest wind they come unfastened and when I taped them to hold them in place two of them ripped off

At every fair there are at least a few folks who ask where did you get that tent? It's really a piece of art. The legs are substantially larger than all other tent legs. PLUS they are aluminum. I was very concerned about the weight since I'm 5'2" and a girl. No problem. It's much lighter than any other steel tent. My EZUP lasted for three fairs before starting to break apart. This has already with stood a number of wind storms and not moved around. It was well worth the cost.
    lightweight easy to manage sturdy
very expensive no place for a banner on a canopy no external canopy back or front
