King Canopy Goliath

We have a business that sells fine art products at art shows. Our motivation for purchasing the Goliath is that it appeared to offer the best protection for our product. We did not want to risk damage by buying a lesser product that has the distinct purpose of protecting it.
The Goliath exceeds our expectations. King Canopy's customer is excellent and shipping from this store was quick.
We will stick with King Canopy for future purchases and recommend them for your needs.

Pros:

It is the best made canopy that we could find. We could spend twice as much and not improve the quality or ease of use. We could spend half as much and not sufficiently protect our product. We decided to do the thing that made best sense for protecting our product.

Cons:

There is nothing to dislike.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Great Canopy

It was worth the money. The only thing that needs to be worked on is the zipper handles on the sides. They are a little weak, it would be better if they were heavy duty like the case.

Bigger than I Thought

This tent is a great heavy duty tent but slightly bigger than 10 X10. I had an existing Tent that I was using and only need to replace the tent frame. When the 10 X10 Gollath tent arrive it was to slightly bigger than expected therefore I can't use my own top and sides to the tent.

Easy to put up

Cons:

Slightly bigger than 10X10

How do the legs on the Goliath assemble? And pack? What are the dimensions of the packed canopy?

Answer:

The frame is pre-assembled and folds up. It comes with a roller bag with dimensions of 66'' x 15'' x 14''.

Is this tent fire retardant?

Answer:

Yes, it is. It has both the CPAI-84 rating and the NFPA-701 rating. Please note that only the CPAI-84 tag comes sewn into the canopy but a certificate can be provided for the NFPA-701 rating if needed.

How do the side walls connect to the frame? Zipper or Velcro straps? And is the top waterproof? If not, do you make a top that is water proof? I need it to protect my artwork at my art fairs.

Answer:

They attach by hook and loop fastener to the inner lip of the top. The top is not water proof, only water resistant. Following please find a link to the only water proof canopy we have:

2. What wind speed will this canopy withstand?

Answer:

The manufacturer does not provide mesh walls for the Goliath. It has not been tested or rated for wind speeds.

Wind-rated canopies are actually fairly uncommon. It is always recommended to have them staked down and supervised as they are very lightweight structures that may not remain grounded under windy conditions.

Is this canopy Flame Resistant (NFPA701)? We have a new Fire Marshall and he will not let us set up to pop Kettle Corn unless certified material is used in tent top. He states that it must be Calif. State Fire Marshal Title 19 certified.

Answer:

No. This product is only rated as CPAI-84. NFPA-701 is a fairly new strict requirement and many tent manufacturers have not gotten their products rated and labeled for it yet.
