Customer Q&A with Product Specialists

William from 11434 asked:
I am installing the arrow lite 8 x 4 shed and picking up the frame and AK100 kit. I have a concrete slab already in place. Do I need the floor frame? And if so, what do I use as a flooring over the frame?

The floor frame is optional, as it will just allow you to anchor it to concrete easier. If you use the foundation/frame, you would apply plywood on top of the frame.

Simple Instructions and Available Help

Thanks to simple instructions and accessible help, I was able to construct the shed with ease. I wrote to the company that manufactured the shed, and one of the things they suggested was that I insert a 5 millimeter plastic sheet between the outer metal siding and the interior treated plywood. This prevents the plywood's chemicals from corroding the metal siding. FYI, make sure that your foundation is completely level before you build your shed on top of it. I used cement pilings to construct my foundation.

Easy With a Hammer Drill

I had to use a hammer drill in my case. Otherwise, the kit was easy to use and it works great.

Two-Time Success

I've purchased two of these anchor kits and used them to install two different sheds. They worked very well both times, and they easily secured the sheds to the cement pads!

Shed's Not Going Anywhere

The anchor kit works great! When I ordered it, I thought it would only anchor the four corners of the shed, but the kit hardware anchors all the walls and the door as well. Everything works well together, and the kit even comes with a mortar drill bit for drilling through concrete. My shed will stay put for a long time to come.

Easy Enough for a Beginner

I've never installed an anchor kit before, but this one was so easy to use that I was able to install it in under an hour!
