With clear sidewalls, folding will create creases if they are folded for a long time. The best way is to just lightly fold them, and spread them out at least a few hours before use.

I have seen shade tents that attach to the roof rack or back hatch of an SUV with two supporting poles away from the vehicle. Do you have any idea where I could find one? I'm not allowed to erect normal 4 pole canopies due to space constraints.
