What front door awning is the strongest?
What front door awning is the strongest?
If you are looking at the Palram models they can hold anywhere between 15- 30 lbs of snow depending on the model. As for the Awntech fixed awnings the frame is made of aluminum but they are made sturdy to take on wind speeds of 30 mph since the Awntech models are not snow rated it is suggested to not let snow accumulate on the top.

Unfortunately, the awning fabrics are a soft acrylic fabric as opposed to vinyl. I apologize as we do not have a vinyl awning material.

Our application needs to go over a basement door that has outdoor steps going down to the basement. The depth is about 4 feet. Can this be accommodated with a fixed awning? It is important that the awning keep rain and snow off the steps and entry to basement.

Please provide your clearance (vertical and horizontal distance) between the top step and the desired placement of the bottom of the awning, so that we may advise you further. Also, please advise the style of awning you are considering.
