What size tent do I need for 50 people?

If they are simply standing, 50 people can fit within approximately 400 square feet. A 20 x 20 tent would be ideal. However, if you are using chairs, you will need a little more room to actually put the chairs as well as room to walk in front of the chairs so people can reach their seats. 50 people with seating would need about 600 square feet which could be accomplished with a 20 x 30 tent. Please keep in mind that these are approximations and requirements vary depending on the individuals, chairs, and other factors.

What size party tent is needed for approximately 300 people standing and 2 to 4 picnic size tables?

You would need at least a 30 x 60 but it would be safer to purchase a 40 x 60 to allow for free movement.
