These remote control retractable awnings come in a number of color varieties, including twelve stripes and nine solids options. The fabric is composed of solution-dyed acrylic which is both water and fade resistant. Every Awntech motorized retractable awning comes fully assembled and ready to install, backed by a 5-year limited warranty.
Please Note: All single color awnings come with white trim. Multi-color awnings come with trim of lightest color combination.
Also Note: The size chart indicates the additional spacing needed for installation.

I am wall mounting a Hampton Awntech Electric12. I understand there needs to be 10 inches of clearance above the bracket. Does this measurement refer to the top of the bracket itself or to where the torsion bar slides in? Additionally, the manual states the brackets must be installed in exact positions, but it appears they could be placed anywhere on the torsion bar within 12 inches of the end. Is there any flexibility regarding the 10-inch clearance, as I need to mount the awning as high as possible?

1. The 10-inch clearance above the bracket refers to the space from the top of the wall-mounting bracket to the top of the awning housing. This is illustrated in the manual as the minimum horizontal mounting space required for the full length of the awning.
2. Regarding bracket positioning, the installation manual specifies that the bracket locations are fixed on the awning and cannot be moved or altered. You must measure the distance between the brackets on the awning and install the wall brackets at that precise distance, not simply within 12 inches of the end of the torsion bar.
3. Concerning the 10-inch clearance, the manual states it as a "10" minimum clearance." This is the absolute minimum required space, and there is no flexibility to reduce it. To mount the awning as high as possible while adhering to the manufacturer's guidelines, you must ensure this 10-inch clearance is maintained.
