What is the difference between the Hampton and the Destin from AWNTECH?
1 Answer
The Hampton is a full cassette awning. The awning is encased when retracted in. The Destin, you can see the fabric roll bar, but it has a protected hood on top. The advantage would obviously be the full cassette is slightly safer for your fabric.

Do any of your retractable awnings have a wind sensor on them that will cause them to automatically retract if the winds get over a certain strength? Also, I would like to compare the different brands of retractable canopies that you have. Is there an easy break down of the differences? Thank you.
1 Answer
All of our retractable awnings are made by Awntech. The only differences between the ones listed on our sites are that they are the different models/styles they offer.
None of the retractable awnings come with a wind sensor. You would have to manually retract the awning if high winds is in the area.

I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question, but when you're choosing the side of the motor, is this decided by viewing the awning from behind or in front of yourself? If I am looking at the wall I'm mounting it on, the outlet is on the right side of the wall.
1 Answer
The side would be determined as if you are facing the wall on which you will be installing the awning. I would have asked the same question at one time and it is not stupid at all. Have a great day.

How much space is required to mount the brackets (there is 8 inches of space on the wall over my lanai)?
1 Answer
The location of the brackets is fixed on the awning. It can not be moved or altered. You will need to measure the distance between the brackets on the awning and install the brackets at the same distance. The brackets must be
attached to the wall vertically.
