Regarding horizontal support joists for sloped terrain, the shed kit does not include a foundation by default; this is an optional add-on. The optional FortressFloor kit, designed to create a stable, level base and elevate the structure, includes 2x4 treated floor joists spaced 16 inches on center and 4x4 treated runners. These components are sized to accommodate the nominal shed dimensions of 12 feet in width and 20 feet in length. Alternatively, you can construct your own floor using materials from a local home improvement store, or opt for a concrete slab, decking, or tiles as a foundation.
