Does this tent come with a separate ring guard and can the seams be waterproofed with silicone?
The tent does come with a separate rain fly and the seams can indeed be sealed with a silicone based sealant.

Spacious Tent

This tent has proven to be a good purchase. Not only is it spacious and well vented, but it also withstood a rainstorm quite well. I have been recommending it ever since.

Pleased With Investment

Overall, I was pleased with this tent. Besides coming with a cracked stake and hard to understand instructions, it was a great investment. This tent can fit 5 blow-up beds or 10 campers without the beds.

Huge Tent

This tent is huge. The tent itself is very roomy, and the screened in porch attachments only makes it seem larger. It does get a little cold at night, but a small propane heater fixes that problem. The last time I went camping it was quite windy, and the tent withstood the wind gusts fine. It hasn't been through a rain storm yet, but I have no reason to suspect it won't withstand that just as well. The tent has a divider if you want multiple rooms, but I haven't used it yet, so I don't know how well it works. I really enjoy the massive feeling of the undivided tent.

Satisfied

When setting up the tent, the instructions weren't very helpful, but I still managed to get it up without too much trouble. One of the plastic stakes did crack (I'm going to request a replacement stake). To give you a rough estimate of how big this tent is, I was able to fit 4 queen size air mattresses in the tent, though I didn't have much room left over. Without mattresses, this tent will easily fit 10 adults. You will enjoy this tent if you choose to purchase it.

Very Large Tent

This tent is quite roomy and I'm very satisfied with the quality. It holds out the wind and, though I haven't tried all the features, I'm sure it will be water-proof as well. The set-up is simple enough for me to do alone.

Practice Makes Perfect

This is a great tent, and we're very happy with it, but let me give you a few tips in case you decide to buy it too. Yes, it's gigantic--we got teased a little bit by some friends about how big it is. But that's OK, we figured they're just jealous. You need to practice setting it up in a controlled environment (like your basement) before you try to set it up on-site. It took us a long time at first both to set it up and to tear it down. But once we got the hang of it, it wasn't as big a deal. You also need to be aware that repacking it takes practice too. Because it's watertight, it also tends to balloon up with air when you collapse and fold it. You should also know that because it's so big, it's pretty heavy. The bag to carry it in allows for less-than-perfect repacking, so that's night. Oh yes, it also did a great job of keeping us dry on a very rainy night. I'd recommend this tent if you need a large tent that's waterproof and good quality.
