Quality without the Cost

I love adventure, but am not devoted to it, so when I look for equipment I look for items that are geared to my comfort while on that adventure. In comparing the Giga Tent Rainier 2-person backpacking tent with other similar models, it was superior quality for far less money. I wanted a tent I could use when stopping after a day of bicycling, and I could store the tent body and fly in my saddlebags and the poles attached to the rear carrier in their carrying bag. I was impressed that the included carrying bag was quality, too, expecting just a drawstring sack. This lightweight tent was easy to set up, waterproof, and had some extra features I didnÔÇÖt see in the ad.

Would Recommend to a Friend

I am an enthusiastic explorer and was asked to buy a tent as a gift for a missionary in Tanzania, Africa. I try to keep things as simple as possible and looked for a tent that would be the same. I found this to be strong but not too heavy and that it would work well for backyard campouts as well as backpacking. My missionary friend says that it works well for his journeys in the African bush.

Great Value

I would heap tons of praise on this backpacking tent. I am so pleased at how first-rate and practical it is, especially that it doesnÔÇÖt have fiberglass poles that tend to crack and splinter in sub-freezing temperatures. Aluminum poles are much better all-around poles. I plan to purchase a Giga tent as soon as I can because it is a great price for the value of the product.
