is the mesh durable and are the holes very fine like a window screen?

The screen mesh material allows for air-flow and ventilation as well as protection from insects. These are commercial grade food tent sidewalls designed for use on a weekly basis.

Can solid walls be added over the mesh walls to reduce the effects of harsh weather?

Yes you can purchase additional sidewalls, but I would only suggest having double sidewalls if you have a Commercial Grade frame and not the lightweight one.

These sidewall panels measure approximately 10' wide by 7' tall, and they are intended for use with Caravan products only. There is Velcro at attachment points which correspond with the Caravan shelters.

What are the dimensions of the window openings of this Caravan 10' Mesh Foodwall pack? Where on the walls are the openings placed? How far from the ground and the sides are they?

Per the manufacturer, the windows are 18" x 18" in size and close by Velcro. The walls are 19" from the left and right sides, 35.5" from the top of the wall, 34" from the bottom of the wall and 38" apart from each other.

Yes, the Caravan 10' sidewalls are all interchangeable. They zip up at the corners for a complete enclosure. Please note that the Caravan sidewalls only fit the Caravan frames.

Is this compatible with any 10' Caravan canopy? And, in general, are all Caravan mesh units compatible with any 10' Caravan canopy? I need both a canopy and a compatible mesh unit and am strongly leaning toward Caravan.

The 10' Caravan mesh walls are compatible with any of the Caravan 10' models we carry. This excludes sport styles with slanted legs or the lighter duty models such as the Cirrus and Magnum.

Best product for outdoor use
We used the Caravan Mesh Foodwall at our outdoor event to satisfy the Health Dept. requirement for serving food and this product surpassed our expectations for quality and ease of use. Great value and worth the investment for our needs. If you need mesh walls for an event these are for you. Keeps you from being eaten by the mosquitos too!

Caravan mesh Food wall
We ordered the Caravan (set of 4) foodwall for a recent event to satisfy the health dept. requirements. They arrived and we put them up in no time. Satisfied the inspectors and made our vendors happy because we furnished them and gave them to use for us at later events. Well worth the money invested and would buy this product again.
ProsEasy to use and put up with zip ties for one person but easier with two. Better quality than several ohers we had seen.

Mesh Foodwall Pack
I am so happy with my mesh foodwall pack. I put up my tent with my yellow canopy and it looks so professional and that is important to me because I am a Chef. The pass thru windows are perfectly placed. Having the food wall will protect food from insects. It is pleasing to the eye and I think my customers will appreciate the lengths we have gone though to protect their food.

Mesh Side Walls are Perfect
We purchased a set of these and ended up using them for many different events. They are extremely helpful on hot days when you need that breeze to come through or you need visibility, but also need your tent closed off. We've used them so much, we had to order another set. The original set lasted more than 6-7 years (still using them) before we had an issue with a Velcro strip. However, we use these side walls for some many different events and a lot of uses, so it may have been "operator error". I highly recommend these to help air out your booth on those hot days especially.
