Kay Home offers an attractive solution to one of the summer's most common problems. The Casita Round Screen House makes a great temporary shelter from light rains and shade, but it truly shines at keeping out pesky mosquitos, June bugs, and other creepy crawlies that might ruin your pleasant day. The vinyl roof resists mold and mildew, and strategically-placed metal grommets in the canopy prevent water from pooling and making the structure sag. The Casita's accordion sides make setup easy between only two people, and teardown is just as easy when the weather turns bad.

Is it ok to screw a screenhouse onto composite decking?
This unit comes with a ground anchor kit, but it is not recommended to install it with something more permanent. The manufacturer advises taking down the screenhouse in inclement weather with high winds.

Good for a While
I have been using this casita for about five years. I had to buy a new roof, as the first one began to sag around the rim, allowing rain to pool on the roof between supports. The new roof is doing the same thing, and there is no easy way to eliminate it. It is a pain, as the roof pockets have to be splashed out after each rain.
I would be happy if there was a version of this casita with a hard permanent roof.
Pros
Well-constructed except for the door. I added a turnbuckle to make it easier to open the door.
Easy to set up.
Cons
The roof doesn’t handle rain well.
The roof needs to be removed for winter in areas with snowfall.
The door is not reversible.
