How large is this when folded up?

Will this work on a 14' long fishing boat?

The size of the cover for this canopy is 7' 4" x 10' and is made to cover a picnic table. I personally would not recommend this item for a boat.

Can the canopy be offset? Is there an option to use this on a porch, without a picnic table i.e. can it stand on the ground on an umbrella stand? Are there options for connectors to a porch railing (instead of a table)? I have a 6' x 10' balcony, with front railing, and wonder if i could connect to it. Thank you.

This can be offset. This is designed to be connect to a table up to 10' long but they also advise it can be attached to other things but must be attached to something to be operable.

How does this canopy stand up to wind and also if it rains does it come through the top of canopy?

While this is an excellent canopy, it is a temporary shade canopy only and is not designed or rated for rain or wind.

The manufacturer recommends that the frame and cover be folded and stored if there are high winds or severe weather in your area. It is only water resistant, not waterproof so water will eventually leak through the top.

I would recommend this item to a friend.
Surprised
The only fault I found was the directions were lacking on how to put the canopy went on. I ended up having to sew a small part if the canopy. We also had some issues with the tightener for the table. This being said I do really like it. I have had tons of compliments on how well it works on the table. We love having it when we are camping.
Works awesome on picnic tables.

Very nice
The product is very good. The only issue is that we bought two and one is better than the other. One has a very good carrying case which is durable and distributed weight perfectly. Other is lesser quality and an over the shoulder type case, such as you find with a folding camping chair. This Carry case is uncomfortable and does not distribute weight. Thinking those pieces will be poking thru soon and are already trying to find a new case.

Son loves this
I gave this as a gift a few years ago and he and his girlfriend use this canopy all the time. It is holding up well. They get a lot of good comments and people asking where they can get one. It is a great sun shade canopy. Per instructions they always take it down in winds, but have been able to leave it up in small to moderate rain here in the Pacific NW. He does note that in heavy rain he will either need to take it down or periodically vent off pooled rain. He raves about this canopy and calls me every time they us it, just to thank me for the gift.

Worked, until the wind ripped it apart
Constant movement from the wind and poor construction led to several problem areas after 6 months. The material faded and had wear holes. It creaked with every gust of wind which was annoying as hell. When a storm finally put it out of it's misery, I was almost relieved. It did do it's job for about a year though and was nice shade from the beating sun. Great concept if only it wasn't a cheap, China-made piece of crap. Slightly better materials and construction and it would be a winner.
It shades you from the sun and is adjustable.
