Can this be used on the beach with the legs inserted under the sand with anchors for the wind?

This canopy is for recreational. It can be used on a beach but it is not wind rated.

We have the Quick Shade 10 X 10 Straight leg canopy. I read that the canopy connects with Velcro at the top of the canopy but I am wondering if it has Velcro on the sides as well to attach it to the legs so it doesn't blow around?

The side wall does have velcro that will wrap around the frame legs so the material will not blow in the wind when set up.

I think you might be asking about the side panel. I only own the 10 x 10 canopy without the sides. The top connects via velcro and is pretty sturdy. However, high winds will blow it around. I suggest securing the legs with sand bags.

The material is good and tough on this product. Fairly easy to put up and take down.

Quality of tent is great. I am extremely impressed so far. Even worked great in the rain. My items in tent stayed dried while others around me (with other tents) had trouble keeping things dry. And it is extremely easy to put up
