What overall diameter are the balls of these ShelterLogic Canopy Cover Bungee Balls - 25 Pack - 53510? Also, what diameter is the cord? What is the largest diameter cord these balls can accommodate?

These bungee balls are 7 inches from the end of the plastic ball to the end of the bungee, while stretched it reaches 12 inches. This is the industry norm and we do not have smaller ones and they are meant to wrap around a maximum 3" frame .

The balls are 1" diameter and the cord is 3/16" diameter. The cord stretches to 12" in length so about 3.5" is max diameter. I used these to hang shade cloth on the side of my canopy and with a garden canopy that came with these cords. I have used similar cords from home depot that deteriorated in about 8 months. These cords are of much higher quality, and much more uv resistant. The first ones I bought are almost 2 years old and still holding tight. Hope this helps.

Surviving the wind
I have an 18 x 20 canopy that I park two cars under. Much to my surprise that canopy has survived two seasons of the high winds we get in January and February every year. I hear the wind howling in the middle of the night knowing it must have gotten destroyed and then wake up to seeing it survived yet again.

Canopy Cover Bungee Balls
Originally ordered with replacement cover 10149, box was damaged and bungee balls were missing, one phone call later and the replacements were at my front door a few days later. ( the cover seems to be OK ) The quality of the bungees seems to be very good unlike one of the reviews I read. They are definitely 100 % better than the old worn out ones on my boat lift.

Bungee Balls
These are excellent for the canopy, and sides besides using them for pole holders and ties.
Pros
- Good for winds and spring and summer storms.
Cons
- They are only good for 1year due to wind and storm's, they stretch but hold. They are priced right to replacement every year.

Bought as a Backup
We bought this pack of bungee balls as a backup to the ones that came with the canopy we ordered. We expect the originals to last a very long time, and so we didn't want to have to search for replacements when the day comes that they will be needed.
