All ShelterLogic products pride themselves on ease of installation. As for how it is anchored, this unit uses (4) Protective corner boots and (6) 30" Auger anchors to anchor the unit into the ground. Thank you for your interest.

The longevity really depends on your local weather. On average, our Shelter Logic tent last 3-5 years. Most covers are UV treated.

I have an RT brand carport 803020 and had 75-80 mile an hour winds that destroyed the top, but not the sides from the seam down. I need to just replace the top. I figured I could remove the damaged top piece and put on a heavy top cover. Do you have other suggestions?
