Is this tent 'water resistant' or waterproof? As described by the manufacturer.
    1 Answer
Like most camping tents it is considered mostly waterproof as long as all instructions are following. Some water may enter during windy conditions through the vents and windows.

    great purchase
We set it up at home first. Made it quick and easy when we got to the lake. Not that hard to put up. High ceiling and plenty of space for our family of 5. Queen bed in middle and full size on both sides. First night was spent in the rain and not a single leak. Can't wait to use it again.

    Overall Enjoyable Tent
I thoroughly enjoyed the use of this tent. A few key features about this tent are the easy set-up, screened porch, spacious rooms, and durability. The only thing I didn't like about this tent was the fact that the screen doesn't fully stake to the ground so it flies up. If necessary, adjustments can be made to the inside room dividers.

    Disappointed, Planning to Return It
Wish I could give this a positive review, but I cant. Id just advise you to make sure you know what youre getting before you purchase this tent. For example, when it says the tent is 17 x 12, you need to realize that those dimensions include the screened porch. The tent itself is 17 x 8. Also, you cant attach the wall of the porch to the tent. You can only fit a twin mattress in the bedrooms, not a queen. Sorry, not big enough for my wife and me! Also, the tent arrived in not the best shapethere were scratches on the floor. And the colors were different from what was shown in the advertising. Again, sorry, I wasnt impressed and am returning it to the company.

    Tent Is Great!
Tent is great! Our first time using it, it poured rain! (Always happens when you camp!) But we stayed nice and dry inside. Carrying bag is not so great! Poor stitching caused it to fall apart. Guess well have to find another bag for it. But we love the tent!

    Great Tent
I had owned another tent before this one, and it lasted for more than eight years. This tents quality is just as good, and I hope it will also last a long time. Works great for various groupsyou could sleep three people in it or as many as eight adults (if they were just using sleeping bags). Its roomy, too, more so than you might think. Youll have to practice putting it together and taking it apart, but youll get better at it. Worth the price, good product!

    Our First Tent, Very Nice!
Weve never owned a tent before, and although we havent gone camping in it yet, we have practiced setting it up, and it seems very nice! Very roomy, although do be aware that the main tent is about 17 x 8, not 17 x 15. (Its 17 x 15 if you include the screened porch.) Were a big familya Mom, a Dad, and seven kids! But it easily fits us all in. we had very little trouble setting it up, but we did think the instructions could have been clearer. First-time setup took us 40 minutes; second time, we shaved 15 minutes off of that! The tent is a nice heightIm almost six-five and I dont have to hunch my shoulders to walk around inside. We like the ceiling hook and the convenient mesh pockets for storage. Were really happy with it and are looking forward to our first camping experience with it!

    Made in China
It was a very disappointing revelation to discover that this tent came from China. The quality was poor and below my expectations, and the rooms werent large enough way too small.

Easy Set Up, Even in the Rain
The first time I started setting this tent up, it started pouring! I kept at it, though, and had it up and was able to be inside it in about ten minutes. Love the giant rain fly. Really roomy inside. We put a queen-sized air mattress inside plus two singles and still had plenty of room. I like the fact that there are two doorsone for each room. Allows for more privacy.

    Stays Dry!
Fantastic tent! As an experienced camper, I am familiar with tents. I set up this tent outside to put sealer on the seams, but it started raining before I put the sealer on. It was terrible weather for five days, but the tent stayed completely dry inside! It's dry, roomy, and I love the porch and the easy set-up!

    A Five Star Product
We took some time setting this tent up the first time because we had difficulty understanding the instructions. But now we are able to set it up in about 30 minutes. The tent is a comfortable size, even though my husband is very tall. The main room can hold a queen size inflatable mattress while the side rooms can fit twin size mattresses. We enjoy sitting in the shady screened area and find the tent to be well ventilated when all the flaps are open. It works well in windy areas and seems very sturdy.

    Spacious Tent
It was a good thing we set this tent up twice before using it on our camping trip. The directions were vague so we had to figure things out for ourselves. It got easier after the second time, especially figuring out which poles went where. We did have difficulty with the room divider zipper and there were missing ties and loops for the flaps. With some adjustments, we made it work. The weather cooperated so it worked out well and it only took us 10 minutes to get the tent up. Its a very spacious tent and space wise it worked out very well. We loved the size of the tent.

    Massive Tent
This tent was put to the test on its very first use. It began to pour, but the rain fly prevented the water from entering. The tent was big enough to fit a huge queen sized air mattress in the middle room in addition to a twin mattress on either side. Not only is the tent massive, but it also has divider doors, so privacy is definitely available.

    Pleasantly Pleased
The instructions for this tent were a little vague, but after a while we were able to figure them out. Our package came with missing pieces, but the company was more than willing to replace them. This tent has room enough to fit several blow- up beds as well as necessities.

    Holding Up Well
Ive had this tent a couple of years, and its holding up well. I havent always put a tarp under it before setting it up, so there are a few holes in the floor now. I havent had any leaks and nothing else has broken except for one shock cord on the fly, but I fixed that easily. I like the screened porch, although it only fastens to the fly and has no floor and doesnt attach to the tent itselfwhich, of course, lets bugs come right in. Could be fixed by attaching Velcro to it, but I havent gotten around to that yet. Dividers inside are sewn in and not removable. The tent is sturdily constructed with quality materials. I set the tent up by myself initially in less than 30 minutes. I can do it faster now. Anyway, I like it a lot and it meets my needs very well!

    Spacious Tent
I'm very happy with the size of this tent. Its dimensions perfectly accommodate my height. It's also large enough to fit several couples with room to spare. We could easily fit four air mattresses or 8 sleeping bags inside this tent. Its size and quality are worth the effort it takes to assemble.

    Our First Tent
This tent fits our family of nine quite comfortably. The actual living space is approximately 17x8. We leave our shoes in the screened area before entering the rest of the tent and are thankful for the shelter it provides when it rains. The height of the tent is appropriate for tall people and there is a place to hang a light or fan in the center of the main room. We were able to get our set-up time down to twenty-five minutes. It took us a couple of tries to get the tent folded and put inside the bag. So far we are very satisfied with our purchase.

    Pleasantly Surprised
When I got this tent, I assembled it in my yard because I wanted the practice and also because I wanted to get the seams properly sealed. Well, guess what. It started raining before I could put the sealant on, and it rained five days straight after that! (I started to think I should have purchased an ark instead of a tent.) The awesome news was that even though I hadnt put sealer on yet, it was waterproofdry insideand it stood up to the high winds. I love this tent and would recommend it to anybodynice size, spacious, porch is great, easy to assemble.

    Cheap Carrying Bag
We were able to test this tent out the very first time we used it since it was pouring rain. We were thrilled that we stayed completely dry! Unfortunately, the bag that is used to carry the tent in had a problem with the stitching and it came apart at the seams. We need to find another bag to replace it.

    Goods (and Bads)
Good: Easy to assemble. Bad: Directions are hard to follow. Good: Lots of windows, each with its own tie-back. Bad: You cant zip the side-room windows at the top. Good: Nice to use the screened-in porch as a mud room. Bad: Its not attached to the tent. Overall, though, the goods outweigh the bads. Other goodsstraight walls, allowing best possible use of floor space. If you dont like the regular screen porch, you could use one of the side rooms that wayjust open the windows and let the breeze blow through. Pin/ring system for assembly is great. Tent is sturdy, structurally sound. Were a growing family, and were very happy with our purchase of this tent!

Poor Instructions But Still Easy To Set Up
Once we got past the poorly written directions and just figured it out for ourselves, we were able to get the tent set up in our living room as a practice run. Now that we have used it, we can say that we are pleased with our purchase and expect to use it for years to come. The floor plan is great for our family of two adults, two children, and one large dog. The adults can stand straight up in any room. There are dividers between the rooms, so we used one side room for the kids and the other to stow our belongings and dog, with the middle room for us adults. The screened porch does not fasten to the tent and we just used it more like a mud room. It is a well-made tent with a pin/ring system, steel poles and connectors, and great insulation.

    Five Stars
We love this tent, so let me get my negative comments out of the way first. Really, I only have one and its minorwe had to practice a few times to get it set up right. So Id advise you to do the same. Now that were pros at it, we can do it in less than half an houras long as my husband and I work together on it. Speaking of my husband, hes six-foot-nine, and he says the tent is spacious! So its really big for us normal-sized people! :) We also enjoy using the porcha nice place to sit in the shade on a hot day. Wind has never been a problem for us with this tent either. Easy to get a cross-breeze inside . . . I could go on but wont. I highly recommend this model if you need one this large. We love it! (Oops, I already said that didnt I?) :)
