I have only used the tent one time and I left the top on. The zipper to the carrying bag does not zip completely with the top on. I would rather the bag not zip completely than to take the time to put the top on at the site of the event.

The top stays on. You only have to put it on the first time. After that it folds up with the frame and still fits in the carry bag.

I've had my tent up and down five times in the last few months, and I've kept the top on since the first time I set it up. It even fits nicely inside the carrying case. I was worried that It would be too hard to zip the case closed with the extra fabric, but it fits very nicely.

What does the vent ceiling of this Undercover 10' x 10' super lightweight commercial canopy package look like? I am concerned about the rain coming in during shows.
2 Answers
Undercover has 2 vents at the top of their canopy tops. They have designed the vents so they are hooded so water cannot come into the tent. Rain water should not be allowed to pool up on the top of the canopy to avoid leaking or possible damage to the overall structure. Please see the photo of the canopy top in the link below.

I think you have to open the vent for venting. We have never done that and have not had an issue with rain coming in from the top.

What material is the canopy top made from? Is it supposed to be water resistant? Are the canopy seams sealed?
1 Answer
The top is a 300-denier polyester top. It is water resistant but not water proof. If you have this set up during the rain, you will need to keep the water knocked off to avoid water from pooling up on the top and causing damage from the weight of the water. The seams are all treated with the the same water resistant process.

This tent has what looks like a top vent that would help with stability against wind gusts. Is that true? Also, can it be folded down to fit in carry bag with wall on, or must walls be taken down before folding up?
1 Answer
Yes, this canopy does indeed have a vent at the top. The walls would need to be removed before you fold the canopy down. This is true with all pop-up style canopies as leaving the walls on would both interfere with the folding process and could cause damage to the walls.

What is the main difference between the UC-3R10WV Undercover popup canopy and the UC-3P10 models. They seem very similar to me. I am looking for the lightest one with four walls than can be put up by myself on occasion and being female, the lighter and easier (but sturdier) the better.
1 Answer
The UC-3R10WV is the unit with sidewalls in the package and the UC-3P10 does not. So, the 3R10WV is the best for your specific requests. This unit is very easy to use and very light weight with sidewalls included.

I assembled this canopy today. The maximum height was 5'9" in the center, under the valance. What am I doing wrong that there is not 7' clearence?
Also, I saw the paper that recommends using waterproofing spray on the canopy. After buying the spray, I have noticed a reply to one question that states use of waterproofing spray will void the warranty. Is it supposed to be sprayed or not?
1 Answer
As far as the clearance, you need to make sure you have the canopy frame on its highest setting.
If the paper is directly from the manufacturer, then you may use the spray. Most manufacturers do not recommend it, as it could interfere with its flame retardant construction.

Is the canopy of higher thickness and quality than the the non commercial types?
1 Answer
In comparison to other tents in this manufacturer's lineup, this tent does indeed feature a heavier aluminum frame and canopy, but is still lightweight enough to be handled easily.
Even heavier commercial tents are available, however they are more difficult to transport and setup, especially if you are planning on frequent use of the product.
